Sony Ericsson W810i
Around 3 weeks ago I got myself a new phone. I was tired of carrying an old phone that didn’t charge and also having to carry a separate FM radio/MP3 player to avoid my bordem on the train trips to/from the city. So what was the solution? The Sony Ericsson W810i.

Here is a quick run down of the phones features, followed by what I have found to be good and bad in the past few weeks.
Features:
- Expandable Memory via Memory Stick Pro Duo (512K out of the box)
- 262K Colour Display
- 2MP Camera with AutoFocus and Flash
- Walkman MP3 Plaer with Playlists and EQ
- FM Radio with RDS
- Video playback via QuickTime
- RSS Reader and MMS
- POP3 support
- Java Game/App Support
- GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
- Bluetooth, IR and GPRS
- Edge Internet Browsing
- 350 minute talk time, 14 days stand-by
- Shortcut button to favourite apps/games
- Task manager to kill apps gracefully while leaving other ones running
Great:
- Fantastic Sound Quality
- Decent Battery Life
- Nice interface
- Crystal clear screen
- Plenty of memory out of the box
- Clear voice quality
Not So Great:
- Camera quality is not the best, especially in lower light
- Camera lens not protected from scratches or fingerprints
- Buttons and joystick controller a little small, even for my clunky thumbs
- At times, the case can be slippery, especially with wet/sweaty hands.
- Video playback not as good as video ipods.
My Opinion
I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants a phone with expandable memory, excellent reception and decent battery life. The phone also comes with a MP3 player/radio with excellent sound quality and I would get one of these phones purely for an MP3 Player and phone solution. If you rate video and digital cameras as a high priority with your phones, perhaps you should consider the Nokia N92 instead.. but this phone suits my needs just nicely and does the job so well.
